Joel A. Shirey

Joel joined Grillo & Associates in 2007 as an assistant to help service client accounts. During his tenure with the firm and with John’s guidance, Joel has learned the importance and impact financial planning can have on a client’s life. He enjoys utilizing all aspects of financial planning and working directly with clients to help them achieve their financial goals.

Joel earned his degree in finance from the University of West Georgia, where he graduated magna cum laude. He currently holds the following securities and insurance licenses: FINRA Series 7 and 66; as well as life, accident, and sickness. In July 2012, Joel was promoted to the role of financial advisor.

Joel resides in Carrollton, Georgia, with his wife Allison and their two daughters, Amelia and Melanie. Joel is a Deacon at his church (Tabernacle Baptist Church) and is actively involved with the Youth and Men’s Ministries. When not at work or church, he is working in his yard and summer vegetable garden or at the rec department watching his girls cheer, play basketball and soccer. He also enjoys cheering on the Carrollton Trojans.
